The Egyptian actor Tamer Hosny filed an official complaint against the legal representative of an advertising company, accusing her of filing a false report that led to a previous prison sentence.

According to the complaint received by the Sheikh Zayed Police Department in Giza Governorate, Tamer Hosny’s lawyer stated that a woman named "W. A," in her capacity as the legal representative of an advertising company, filed a false report against him in a case involving a bounced check worth 247,000 Egyptian pounds in favor of Qatar National Bank.

This case led to a prison sentence for Tamer Hosny for five months in October 2024, before he was acquitted in January 2025. As a result, he filed a new lawsuit accusing the company’s representative of deliberately harming him.

The report was registered under number 1679 for the year 2025 in the Second Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanors, and the Public Prosecution has been notified, initiating an investigation into the incident.

Tamer Hosny's lawyer confirmed that the previous complaint caused significant harm to his client's reputation and professional standing, emphasizing that Hosny had not engaged in any illegal financial conduct. The lawyer stated that the purpose of the complaint was to defame and damage Hosny's reputation.

The Public Prosecution is currently continuing its investigation into the case, hearing statements from both parties in preparation for the necessary legal actions based on the results of the investigation.
