Lebanese singer Carole Samaha managed to return to the artistic scene after the death of her husband, Egyptian producer Walid Mostafa, following his final wish.

Amid much anticipation for her first appearance after the breakdown she experienced in the past few days, the Lebanese artist stood on stage to present her theatrical performance "Kello Masmouh".

"You must continue"

Carole Samaha expressed her mixed emotions, saying: "The emotions are obviously confused, but my main focus is that Walid's spirit is with me; he is an angel surrounding me everywhere on stage."

She revealed that the last thing he said to her before entering the operating room was: "No matter what happens, you must continue the play."

Carole added that her husband knew how much she loved theater and art, so he urged her to keep going despite everything. She further explained: "As artists, we are forced to take our pain and turn it into positive energy to give it to the audience."

Social media users circulated a video clip from Carole’s first theatrical performance, showing her fighting to hold back tears to continue her performance and bring joy and happiness to her audience, whose faces reflected excitement and longing to attend the show.

Carole Samaha had earlier announced the start of her new musical play "Kello Masmouh" on May 12th and 13th, with additional performances on May 15th, 16th, and 17th at Casino Lebanon Theater. She concluded by saying, "The journey continues, with pain... but with great faith."

She also posted a message of thanks on Facebook to everyone who supported her during her hardship, saying: "From my heart, I thank you during this difficult time... everyone who consoled me, attended, called, or sent me kind words, from my family, friends, stars, and media people... Your love strengthened me, and you were my support through this immense pain. May God protect you and keep sorrow away from you all."

A condolence gathering was held in Beirut on Thursday evening, with a host of stars from the arts and media attending to offer their condolences and provide support to the artist.

"I lost my husband and my love"

Carole Samaha announced the death of her husband through Instagram, writing: "Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un, today I lost my husband and my love, Dr. Walid Mostafa, after a long battle with illness."

She continued: "I have never seen anyone believe in struggle like you did. I lost your body, but your spirit will remain an example for me... I will not forget your last wish, and your memory will remain a fire in my heart until we meet where there is no pain or separation."
