Nada Kousa Wears a Dress Reflecting Lebanese Culture at Miss World 2025 Opening Widespread Praise for Lebanese Beauty Queen Nada Kousa’s Look

Miss Lebanon 2024, Nada Kousa, captivated audiences with her national costume during the opening of the 72nd edition of the Miss World 2025 competition, held in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Kousa wore a distinctive ensemble made of deep crimson velvet adorned with intricate golden embroidery, reflecting the rich cultural fabric of her homeland, Lebanon.

Her outfit, inspired by royal Levantine traditions and designed by Lebanese designer Nour Bou Tannous, elegantly showcased Lebanon's rich heritage, earning widespread praise and being described as “enchanting.”

Kousa also shared a video clip where she greeted viewers in Arabic with a warm “Sabah el kheir” (“Good morning”), accompanied by several fellow contestants.

Miss World 2025

The 72nd edition of Miss World officially began on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Hyderabad, marking the third time India has hosted the global event—previously in 1996 and 2023. The pageant will run until May 31, 2025, culminating in the final crowning ceremony.

This year, 110 contestants from around the globe are competing, including notable Arab participants: Nada Kousa representing Lebanon, and Lamiss Redissi representing Tunisia. Both contestants aim to achieve a remarkable Arab presence in this globally watched competition.

Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pyszkova, is expected to attend the final event to crown her successor.

Throughout the three-week competition, contestants will undergo intensive challenges focused on beauty, talent, and humanitarian work before the winner is ultimately selected.
