The family of the late Syrian journalist, Sobhi Attri, announced the date for the funeral and burial ceremonies after completing the procedures for transporting the body to the United Arab Emirates.

The family decided to hold the funeral in Dubai after Friday prayers on May 9, 2025, where he will be laid to rest, attended by family, friends, and colleagues from the media.

The family also mentioned that condolences will be received on Friday and Saturday, during specific hours to be announced later, inviting everyone to join them in praying for the deceased and asking for mercy on his soul.

Sobhi Attri passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, in Berlin, Germany, shocking both the artistic and media communities, who remembered his virtues, ethics, and his close relationships with many artists who mourned him with heartfelt words.

The family concluded the statement by praying for the deceased, asking the Almighty to grant him abundant mercy, to place him in His vast paradise, and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
