Search is ongoing for a teenager missing in the Al-Hasa flood

Social media is abuzz with activists expressing solidarity with the missing boy's family

The incident of a teenager going missing in the Al-Hasa flood remains a widely discussed topic on social media in Jordan. He went missing due to the unstable weather conditions that affected the southern governorates on Sunday evening.

Search operations are still ongoing for the 17-year-old boy. Tafileh Governor Omar Al-Zyoud confirmed that the strength of the floodwaters carried the teenager into a deep pit estimated to be about 40 meters deep and approximately 10 kilometers away from Al-Hasa town, which has made the search even more difficult.

For the third consecutive day, rescue teams in Tafileh Governorate continue search operations for the missing teenager, who was swept away by the violent floods that hit the Al-Hasa area amid unstable weather conditions affecting the southern regions.

Notably, no signs or clues have yet been found indicating the missing person's location, despite the long hours of continuous searching, as many anxiously await news of his whereabouts.

Amid widespread sympathy with the boy’s family, social media activists have called for prayers that he will be found and for God to grant his family patience and strength during this tragic ordeal.
