Haya Al-Shuaibi: "I thank my lawyer for the acquittal I received from Tarek Al-Ali
Mai Al-Aidan: "Congratulations, Hayouna
Kuwaiti actress Haya Al-Shuaibi has been acquitted in the legal case filed against her by fellow actor Tarek Al-Ali, following a verbal dispute and her candid response to his public remarks.
Al-Shuaibi revealed the court ruling through a series of Snapchat videos, confirming her acquittal and expressing gratitude to her lawyer:
"Tarek Al-Ali filed a case against me over what happened between us. I have to thank my lawyer, Dr. Saad Hussein, for securing my acquittal."
She added:
"The case was about me responding to something he said about me. He took me to court, but thank God I was acquitted."
Kuwaiti media personality Mai Al-Aidan also shared the video on her Instagram account, congratulating Haya in the caption:
"Congratulations, Hayouna! You deserve it, Um Fahad. You were right, and God granted you justice."
The conflict between Al-Shuaibi and Al-Ali dates back to 2013, when Haya withdrew from the play "Taht Al-Sifr" ("Below Zero"), in which she was starring alongside Tarek, due to health issues. Her absence stirred controversy and triggered a public fallout, with both actors exchanging statements through the media.
