Egyptian actress Randa El Behairy posted an emotional message on her official Instagram account, reflecting her psychological state amid the legal crisis she is
facing after being referred to criminal court on charges of defamation and libel against her ex-husband, media figure Saeed Jameel.
Alongside the caption "Life is harsh," she shared a photo of herself, accompanied by an audio clip in which she says: "There are people more delicate than life itself... life is harsh."
.Her followers reacted with sympathy and support, expressing solidarity and offering prayers for strength and patience.
The Economic Court had referred Randa El Behairy to criminal trial following accusations of defamation and slander against her ex-husband. The allegations stem
from statements she made during a television appearance, where she spoke about her personal life and disputes with her ex-spouse. He viewed the remarks as a
direct insult, especially after she shared clips of the interview on her Facebook account.
Subsequently, Sherif Hafez, the attorney representing Saeed Jameel, filed an official complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, registered as No. 5863 of 2025
(Petitions), along with another report to the General Department of Cybercrime Investigations, accusing El Behairy of online defamation and libel.
The Cairo Central Prosecution decided to merge several judicial reports into the investigation file, most notably Report No. 1177 of 2025 (Abdeen Misdemeanors)
and Report No. 270 of 2025 (Abdeen Administrative), and launched a full inquiry into the case.
In turn, Randa El Behairy also filed a complaint against her ex-husband, accusing him of forgery and submitting a falsified document related to their child.
However, investigations revealed that the document was authentic and issued by the school's official website, leading to the case being dismissed.
