On October 14, 1953, teams of occupation soldiers launched an attack on the village of Qibya in Ramallah.
The order to attack was given by agent David Ben-Gurion, under Sharon"s supervision, and the attack began with artillery shelling on the village"s residences, resulting in the deaths of 69 Palestinians, many of whom were hiding in their homes that were bombed.
45 houses were demolished, in addition to one school and a mosque, resulting in massive destruction to the infrastructure and private property of the village residents. This attack claimed the lives of many innocent people and led to widespread destruction of property.
