In a heartbreaking incident that shook Colombia, two young siblings lost their lives after becoming trapped inside a refrigerator while playing hide-and-seek inside their home in the city of Vista Hermosa.

According to the details of the incident, the girl, Saori Guevara Taylor (8 years old), and her brother, Daren (5 years old), were taken to the hospital after being found inside the refrigerator by their parents upon returning from a short shopping trip that lasted no more than 20 minutes.

Despite the medical teams’ attempts to save their lives, reports indicated that they were later pronounced dead, while authorities launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.

The father of the children, Brian Guevara Trevino, explained that the freezer was disconnected from electricity at the time of the incident, suggesting that the children entered it while playing, before the lid suddenly closed on them, leading to their suffocation.

He noted that the family had gone out to buy some supplies, confirming that the children were accustomed to playing inside the house, especially the game of hide-and-seek.

The incident left a deep sense of grief among family members and the local community, as the mother, Karen Taylor Pana, expressed her profound sorrow in an emotional message on social media, stating that her children were the most beautiful experience of her life and that their memory would remain forever in her heart.
