In an emotional scene witnessed in the Khreibet Al-Souq area in the capital, a fire broke out inside a residential apartment due to a leak from a gas heater, turning calm moments inside a family home into minutes of anxiety and danger.

The fire resulted in five members of the same family sustaining varying degrees of burns and shortness of breath due to inhaling rising smoke, in an incident that surprised residents and caused a state of alert in the area.

Civil Defense crews in East Amman responded quickly to the fire, managing to control it and prevent it from spreading to nearby apartments. Ambulance teams provided first aid to the injured before transporting them to hospital for the necessary treatment.

This sudden incident highlighted the importance of following safety procedures inside homes, especially when using heating devices, as they may pose risks if misused or in case of leaks, at a time when the family was experiencing ordinary moments that suddenly turned into a difficult ordeal.
