Syrian artist Hussam Junaid surprised his audience with an unexpected announcement on his social media accounts, revealing his decision to stop performing at live concerts, citing the major changes that have taken place in the artistic scene recently.

In a post marked by a tone of farewell and gratitude, Junaid explained that his journey with the audience has extended from 2009 until today, stressing that the decision came after long reflection. He wrote: “Today was my last day performing at concerts, and thank God I have decided to retire from live shows.”

He confirmed that his absence will be limited to concerts only, noting that he will continue releasing his songs through his YouTube channel and all digital platforms, in fulfillment of his commitments with the production company, lyricists, and composers.

Under the title “Preserving artistic standards,” Junaid revealed the main reason behind stepping away from concerts, stating that his fans would not accept any decline in his artistic level. He added: “My voice and my art are far greater than the current reality, and this situation will not last.”

A clear apology

He also offered a sincere apology to concert promoters whom he had previously promised to perform for at upcoming events, asking them to understand his decision and receive it positively.

At the end of his message, he expressed his deep love for his audience, describing them as his family with whom he grew and who made his success, and wished them well on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
