Syrian Ministry of Justice Publishes “Shocking” Confession of the MaidInvestigations Confirm Huda Shaarawi Was Brutally Beaten

The confessions of the Ugandan maid Vicky, accused of killing the late actress Huda Shaarawi, have spread widely across social media, after official Syrian investigations revealed that the incident resulted from a misunderstanding, not theft as initially expected.

Official Syrian sources stated that the security authorities solved the mystery of Huda Shaarawi’s murder, which occurred about a month ago inside her home in the Bab Sreijeh neighborhood in Damascus. Al-Ikhbariya Syrian TV explained that a misunderstanding was the reason behind the maid committing the crime and killing the actress while she was on her bed.

The Syrian Ministry of Justice published, on Sunday, the maid’s confessions through its official platforms, revealing that the motive was a misunderstanding of the late Huda Shaarawi’s instructions, after the actress had repeatedly complained that the maid did not fully understand her words and instructions.

In her confession, Vicky said: “I was very sick and felt exhausted, and she told me: ‘Don’t touch these things or anything in the fridge because you poisoned it,’” which the maid misunderstood, leading to the crime.

According to the investigations, Huda Shaarawi was brutally beaten with a sharp object by the maid inside her bedroom, leading to her death on her bed. The actress’s grandson discovered the crime after the maid fled, entering the room to find her soaked in blood, and informed his father, who then alerted the security authorities.
