Young mother Maryam Ahmed Suleiman, 33, from Ba’aneh Negeidat, passed away at a hospital in Haifa, nearly two years after undergoing a cosmetic liposuction procedure, following serious complications.

The surgery had been carried out at a private cosmetic clinic, which was later shut down after it was revealed that the operation had been performed by a doctor without proper specialization.

Maryam remained in a coma from the time of the surgery until her death was announced.
