Nelly Karim Stuns in Elegant Look Wearing a Black Dress Hassan Shakosh: "Basha Spoiled It on My Account"

Egyptian actress Nelly Karim caused a huge buzz on social media after popular singer Hassan Shakosh posted photos from the behind-the-scenes of the song “Basha Basha”, one of the tracks from the film “Marriage or Funeral”, in which she stars alongside Sherif Salama.

Shakosh commented on the photos: “Basha spoiled it on my account, and God willing, you will like the song.”

Nelly Karim appeared in a striking elegant look, wearing a black, mid-length sleeveless dress, with her hair down and soft makeup, which attracted widespread engagement from her followers on Instagram.

The production company also released a compilation clip from the film and announced that “Basha Basha” is now available on all digital platforms, while the film has been screening in cinemas across Egypt and the Arab world since January 8, 2026. The film earned over 2 million EGP at the box office on its opening days, reflecting early commercial success.

The movie’s plot revolves around two families connected by kinship, forced to spend seven full days together at a scenic location in preparation for a grand wedding uniting their children, amidst a mix of comedic moments and dramatic tension.

The film does not only focus on comedy but also addresses social and romantic themes in a light and appealing manner, offering an enjoyable experience for all ages.

The film is directed by Amira Diab in her first feature-length narrative project, co-written with Dina Maher, providing a balanced script combining comedy and social drama in a contemporary style.
