Jordan is preparing on Friday to be affected by a third-degree weather depression, according to Arab Weather, which is expected to bring noticeable changes to the weather across various regions of the kingdom, accompanied by several phenomena that require caution.

Heavy Rain and Flood Risks Arab Weather indicates a likelihood of heavy rainfall in multiple areas, increasing the chance of flash floods, water flow in valleys and streams, and rising water levels in low-lying regions. The intensity of the rainfall may also cause soil and rock erosion in the southern highlands, including Al-Karak and Al-Tafileh.

Dense Fog Formation According to Arab Weather, low clouds near the ground are expected, resulting in dense fog over mountainous areas during the depression’s impact, with significantly reduced horizontal visibility, especially on mountain roads.

Active Winds with Strong Gusts Winds are expected to be active to strong at times, with severe gusts in the southern highlands and the heights of the Shara Mountains, potentially causing dust storms in the eastern desert areas. Outdoor items should be secured to prevent them from being blown away.

Noticeable Drop in Temperatures The weather depression will be accompanied by a sharp and noticeable drop in temperatures on Friday, leading to cold conditions across the kingdom. The feeling of cold will be intensified by the winds and rainfall, with no expected snowfall, according to Arab Weather.
