Suspects Claimed Their Vehicle Was Intercepted by an Armed Group Investigations Confirm the Girl Died from Gunshot Wounds

Syrian security authorities arrested two individuals involved in the shooting of a girl and the injury of her brother in rural Aleppo last Tuesday.

According to the Internal Security Directorate in the Jabal Semaan area west of Aleppo, as reported by the “Syrian News,” the authorities detained a man and his uncle on suspicion of committing the crime.

The Directorate stated that the operation followed information from residents of the town of Taqad regarding a shooting incident on the road linking the village of Rehab and the town of Turmanin, where the suspects claimed their vehicle had been intercepted by an armed group, which allegedly led to the girl’s death.

Multiple Gunshot Wounds The statement added that when security patrols arrived at the scene, it was found that the victim’s family had buried the body. The judge issued a decision to exhume the body and transfer it to the forensic department, where medical examinations revealed that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Investigations confirmed that the suspects’ claims were false, and that the crime was committed due to family disputes. The suspects admitted to planning the crime and deliberately killing the girl.
