Jordanians are anticipating two official holidays at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, following the government’s official announcement of the holiday dates for Christmas and New Year’s Day.

According to the official statement issued by the Prime Ministry, Thursday, December 25, 2025, will be an official holiday for Christmas, while Thursday, January 1, 2026, will be an official holiday for New Year’s Day.

These two holidays provide citizens with an opportunity for rest, family gatherings, and celebrations, although some sectors that require continuous operations will maintain their work during this period.
