Jordanians are eagerly awaiting "joyful" news regarding the official holidays, as the Cabinet is expected to issue an official statement soon, ordering the closure of ministries, government departments, public institutions, municipalities, universities, and government companies on Thursday, December 25, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026, in celebration of Christmas and the New Year.

Accordingly, the holiday will extend from Thursday morning until Saturday evening for two weeks, giving citizens the opportunity to spend enjoyable time with family and friends.

The statement is also expected to exempt entities whose work requires the continuation of services as usual, to ensure the continuity of essential services.
