Parliamentary Memorandum Signed by 35 MPs Calls for Postponing the Winter School Break Jordanians Support the Move Amid Economic Considerations

The parliamentary memorandum calling for the postponement of the “winter school break” has become the talk of Jordanians on social media, highlighting its potential to serve the public interest.

MP Hussein Al-Amoush submitted the memorandum, requesting that the Ministry of Education study the possibility of rescheduling the upcoming winter break so that it coincides with the start of the holy month of Ramadan on February 18.

The memorandum, signed by 35 MPs so far, stated that postponing the break would reduce the burdens on students and their families, take into account economic circumstances during the holy month, and contribute to better organization of the educational process.

Al-Amoush emphasized that this step serves the public interest and strengthens educational stability, urging the Speaker of the House of Representatives to contact the Minister of Education to explore the possibility of rescheduling the break.

The memorandum has received wide support from Jordanians, with social media reactions highlighting that postponing the break would help ease financial pressures on families during this blessed month.
