A tragic crime has shaken Syrian public opinion after investigations confirmed the involvement of a man’s two sons in his murder, in collaboration with another person, motivated by financial gain.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated in a post on its official Facebook page that its personnel managed to uncover the details of the crime, explaining that it had been premeditated by the sons in cooperation with a third party.

The statement added that the two apprehended sons admitted to agreeing with the killer to carry out the murder in exchange for 20 million Syrian pounds, equivalent to approximately 1,500 US dollars.

The incident sparked outrage and condemnation on social media platforms, with some expressing shock that the sons would kill their father for money, while others called for the harshest penalties to be imposed on them as a warning to anyone considering committing such a horrific act.
