The death of a fourth-year medical student, who also worked in public security, sparked widespread sadness and anger on social media after he suffered a tragic medical error at a health center in Damascus.
According to Syrian media reports, the late student visited the health center seeking relief from pain following a procedure to remove a fragment from his leg, but he was given an injection that led to his death within just 20 minutes.
Sources confirmed that the responsible nurse administered an injection containing diclofenac and dexamethasone, despite the student warning that he was allergic to diclofenac.
