He Ended His Friend’s Life in Cold Blood… Nurse’s Trial Ignites Social Media in Jordan

Social media platforms in Jordan have been in uproar in recent hours following a decision by the Grand Criminal Court on Wednesday, sentencing a nurse to death by hanging after being convicted of committing a gruesome murder of his friend. The crime, carried out last year in Salhoub, saw the victim drugged, dismembered, and his body parts discarded in the area.
During a public session, the court found the 36-year-old defendant guilty of premeditated murder, after being detained since July of last year. Investigations revealed shocking details of how the crime was carried out.
According to the indictment, the accused lured his friend to his home after asking him to switch off his phone, exploiting the victim’s trust. He then prepared an IV and injected him with a sedative under the pretense of treating his back pain. Once the victim lost consciousness, the perpetrator stabbed and dismembered him using a knife and a saw he had prepared in advance.
The following day, parts of the victim’s body were discovered in the Salhoub area, and forensic testing confirmed his identity. The defendant later confessed before the public prosecutor and guided investigators to the locations of the remaining body parts.
The case sparked widespread reaction and deep shock across social media platforms, with many expressing horror at the brutality of the crime while voicing trust in the Jordanian judiciary to deliver justice and impose the rightful punishment on the perpetrator.
