Jordanian actor Eyad Nassar has revealed his first experience in the world of comedy through his new film "Men Ayam El Geza", expressing his great excitement about exploring this genre after a long career in serious roles.

In a press statement, Nassar said: "The film is comedic, and this is a new experience for me. I’ve had brief comedic roles in some projects as a guest or in sketch shows, but I never had a full work where I could fully present comedy. I’ve always wanted to try comedy, but I wondered: with whom and in what project?"

He added: "I spoke with director Marcus Adel and told him I wanted to do a comedy project with him because I feel reassured under his direction. We worked on the idea and developed it, and I realized that this type of comedy is exactly what I want to present, alongside professional actors. The film is comedic, but I am not a comedian in it."

“Comedy requires logic”

Nassar emphasized that staying in an actor’s comfort zone is boring, saying: "I put all my focus into the details and the characters. The story is simple but not superficial; simplicity does not mean a lack of logic. Comedy requires logic, and each character in the film represents a specific segment. We studied the type of comedy we wanted and how the story should unfold, and in the end, it was an adventurous experience for me."

He concluded by highlighting the importance of trying new things as an actor, adding: "An actor does not want repetition and boredom, which is why I wanted to take on this comedic experience as part of my artistic journey."
