Tunisian actress Dorra Zarrouk has officially joined the cast of the upcoming film "El-Sitt Lama", starring renowned actress Yousra, as preparations continue ahead of the film’s scheduled shoot next week.
Dorra announced her participation via an Instagram Story, as the film’s producers continue to finalize casting for the remaining roles.
"El-Sitt Lama" marks Dorra’s return to Egyptian cinema after a three-year absence since her last appearance in the 2022 film "Gidran" ("Walls").
The film brings together a stellar cast including Yasmine Raeis, Mahmoud El Bezawy, Rania Mansour, Donia Sami, Entissar, and Mai Hassan, among others.
Written by Kiro Ayman and Mohamed Badawy, and directed by Khaled Abu Gharib, the movie is produced by Nada and Rana El Sobky, and follows a light social drama format.
Last year, Dorra made a long-awaited comeback to Tunisian cinema after a 13-year hiatus with the film "Sahbek Ragel" ("Your Friend is a Man"), which premiered in Tunisian theaters in December. The movie was directed by Qais Shaqir, written by Zine El Abidine Mestouri and Ahmed El Said, and co-starred a group of well-known Tunisian actors including Karim El Gharbi, Sofiane Dahesh, Salah Mseddek, Kawthar El Bardi, and Younes El Farhi.
