Syrian artists expressed their joy following U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of lifting economic sanctions on their homeland, a country they have long dreamed of seeing flourish once again.
The happiness was evident on social media, where many artists celebrated in their own unique ways, amid a hopeful atmosphere for Syria to enjoy peace and stability.
Assala and Sham... A Great Joy
Singer Assala expressed her happiness over the lifting of sanctions on Syria. She shared a video on her account on the platform "X" showing Syrians celebrating the decision, accompanied by her song “Free Syrian.”
She wrote: “Congratulations to Syria. Long live Syria, long live Syria’s men, long live justice, light, and those who supported and empowered us. Thank God for this joy and for giving us this opportunity to begin, to be, to try, to forgive, to rise, to create, to build, to unite.
