Like hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, the liberated prisoner Karim Yunis lived behind the bars of occupation prisons, in the darkness of cells.
The liberated prisoner Karim Yunis narrated the story of his life from birth, through difficult stages during his period of detention, until his release.
Karim Yunis was born in the village of "Ara in the "Northern Triangle" within the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948. He said that his childhood was like any other child"s, growing up in a home that he described as his "homeland" because his father was a teacher. However, the occupation forced his father out of his job in 1955.
Yunis spoke about his university years, mentioning that he initially attempted to continue his studies, but financial difficulties prevented him from doing so. He decided to work for several years to save money to support himself in completing his education. He also noted that his father"s financial situation didn"t allow him to study abroad.
