In a new episode of the Unnamed podcast, we host Jordanian coach and sports analyst Captain Fahd Al-Qawasmi, based in Qatar, for a rich and candid discussion about the most prominent issues in Arab football after the World Cup.
We discussed the Jordanian national team"s participation, highlighting its most significant successes and failures, Captain Al-Qawasmi"s vision for the future of the team, Jamal Sellami"s ability to lead the national team, the reasons for his departure, and who he believes is the most suitable to lead the team in the next phase, in addition to preparations for the upcoming Asian Cup.
We also shed light on the stars of the Jordanian national team and the significant role they played in the historic achievements, from reaching the Asian Cup final and the Arab Cup final to qualifying for the World Cup.
We then moved on to the Egyptian national team, which achieved a historic milestone by reaching the Round of 16 for the first time. We discussed the impact of coach Hossam Hassan and whether the Pharaohs were unfairly treated against Argentina, before addressing the impressive level of performance displayed by the Moroccan national team in the tournament.
At the end of the episode, Captain Fahad shared his predictions for the semi-final matches: France vs. Spain and England vs. Argentina, and his pick for the World Cup winner. We concluded with one of the most controversial topics in the world of football: Is Lionel Messi really FIFA"s darling?
