Before the current World Cup dream was realized, Canada in 2007 witnessed the roar of the youth national team as they made their way to the World Cup finals. We begin the journey with the opening step and the legendary, hard-fought draw against Zambia, followed by a monumental footballing epic against a Uruguayan team packed with world-class stars at the time, such as Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani.
Despite concluding with a respectable 4-2 loss to the Spanish Matadors, during which Abdullah Deeb and Loay Omran scored two historic goals, that tournament served as an excellent footballing school that honed the 2007 generation and directly contributed to the technical development and future of Jordanian football for many years to come.
