The Independence Tennis Championship Concludes
A few days ago, the curtain fell on one of the largest and most successful sporting events in Jordanian tennis, as the 2026 Independence Open Tennis Championship came to a close. The tournament was organized by the Jordan Tennis Federation, headed by Captain Khaled Naffa.
Held over the course of a full week, the championship was supported by the Jordan Olympic Committee and featured intense competitions and a festive atmosphere worthy of a national occasion dear to the hearts of Jordanians: Independence Day.
The high technical levels and fighting spirit displayed on the clay courts of Al Hussein Youth City confirmed that Jordanian tennis is going through a real and tangible phase of development, driven by a growing fan base and rising talents that promise a bright future for the sport regionally and internationally.
