Tensions escalate in the neighborhood after Esmat is dismissed from his unofficial position and his duties are divided between Arif and Wagih. The story begins with each of them holding half of Esmat"s keys, as they struggle to evade the responsibilities that have become beyond their capacity, especially with the daily pressure from the neighborhood"s residents, most notably "Umm Ayham."
The gas cylinder distribution crisis and the power outage become the spark that reignites the conflict between Wagih and Arif.
