In 1981, 12-year-old Todd Domski was playing in his backyard when a 45-meter-deep hole suddenly appeared. Todd fell into the hole, but despite its narrowness, rescue teams were able to help him. Todd inhaled a large amount of carbon dioxide gas and the entire town he lived in was evacuated and became a deserted city.
