On today"s tour from Z trips, we discover the city of Baalbek, known as the "City of the Sun", which is considered one of the oldest cities in Lebanon. The Phoenicians called it "Baal", meaning god, and "Bek", meaning Bekaa, which also makes it known as the "God of Bekaa". This ancient archaeological complex includes the remains of a Roman city, and its most prominent landmarks include the Temple of Venus, Jupiter and the Temple of Bacchus.
