A moving national epic. Its characters are imbued with nobility, resilience, and the ability to confront, and most importantly, it addresses the Palestinian issue on a deep human level. In this series, viewers are confronted with a tragic human and national situation, starting with the year of the Nakba at the peak of its events. The series depicts a long journey of displacement, suffering, and pain, a journey that tens of thousands of Palestinians experienced after being uprooted from their homes and deprived of their families and land. The series chronicles the daily life of the fall of Haifa in 1948 through the fate of a Palestinian family (the tragedy of the Palestinian teacher Sa"id and his wife Safiya), who were scattered and suffered from displacement and exile in the refugee camps.
