Several car dealers told the "From Here We Begin" program that they had been victims of organized fraud. A number of individuals purchased luxury vehicles on installment plans, legally mortgaging them, before smuggling them out of Jordan just days after the sale was finalized.
According to the victims, the number of cars involved has reached nearly 50, mostly luxury models, with a total value estimated in the hundreds of thousands.
The dealers called on the relevant authorities to intervene urgently and rescue them.
It is worth noting that, according to security reports, a number of those involved have been apprehended and referred to the public prosecutor.
