Follow the From Here We Start program. For several months, the Tafilah-Al-Hasa road lighting issue has been a major concern. This road is considered one of the most vital and main roads in the governorate, connecting it to the Desert Highway and witnessing heavy traffic.
For years, the road has been plagued by a lack of lighting, a key element of traffic safety, especially since it contains numerous dangerous turns and is prone to stray animals, making drivers" lives miserable, especially at night.
In response to citizens" demands and ongoing follow-up from From Here We Start, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the completion of the first phase of the lighting project, spanning 14 kilometers and costing over 420,000 dinars.
Last week, the Ministry also began implementing the second phase of the project, spanning 15 kilometers and costing 440,000 dinars. These phases are among the vital projects approved by the Council of Ministers during its recent session held in Tafilah.
With the completion of the final phase, the Tafilah-Al-Hasa road lighting project has been fully completed after years of demands.
