Hassanein Al-Bartouchi (Adel Imam) comes from his village to Cairo after the death of his father, and resides in his uncle’s house. After Hassanein fails in all the jobs assigned to him, he is expelled from his uncle’s house and finds himself with a group of beggars headed by Sayed Hamoush. Hassanein is recruited to be a beggar. In an upscale neighborhood, he finds himself involved with a corrupt businessman who believes Hassanein works for the police.
