<p style="text-align: left;">Samia Al-Jazaery (Samia bint Muhammad Al-Jazaery), a Syrian actress born in Damascus on November 25, 1946, is considered a pioneer of Syrian drama. She entered the art world by chance in 1963.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">She then worked in military theater before rising to stardom in television, cinema, and theater. She is known as the "Lady of Syrian Comedy" thanks to her poignant and humorous roles in television series.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">She presented more than sixty works in drama, cinema and radio, and won many awards, including: Best Rising Actress from Damascus Radio in 1967, an honor at the Cairo Film Festival for her role in the film Kafroun (1990), and awards for Best Arab Actress at Syrian and Tunisian festivals, in addition to an honor for her entire career from the General Authority for Radio and Television in 2008.</p>
