Christopher Lee Taylor wore a "Homelander" costume on Halloween night, saving an unconscious man from a burning house while on his way to a party with his family

The incident took place in Greenville, Ohio, in 2020, when Taylor found himself in a situation that turned him into a hero after a nearby house caught fire

He stopped the car and asked his wife to call emergency services before rushing toward the house

Inside, he found the man unconscious. With no time to wake him due to intense heat and thick smoke, Taylor carried him outside despite the man’s large size

He then administered first aid until the man regained consciousness

Upon the arrival of firefighters and police, it was confirmed that the house was empty and that the rescued man had entered illegally and lost consciousness inside

The exact cause of the fire was not determined, though it is believed a small fire got out of control

Taylor stated that wearing the "Homelander" costume did not influence his heroic actions, emphasizing that helping others in danger is a human duty, and noting that he had previously assisted people in car accidents

He added that the incident became a source of pride for his children, who tell classmates that their father is a superhero, despite the fact that the character "Homelander" in the series is known for villainous behavior

Taylor later received a Carnegie Medal for heroism and was inducted into the Ohio Fire Service Hall of Fame in recognition of his courage and life-saving actions
