Weight-loss injections send Kuwaiti fashion influencer to the hospital

Kuwaiti fashion influencer Jamal Al-Najada warned her followers on social media about the dangers of using the "Mounjaro" injection without medical consultation, after surprising them by sharing photos from a hospital in China, where she is currently being treated for stomach bleeding.
In a video posted on Snapchat, Al-Najada revealed that she had used the "Mounjaro" injection randomly, along with Panadol and other painkillers, saying: “I took Mounjaro without any doctor’s consultation. I was acting like my own doctor, and the result was stomach bleeding.”
“Without Medical Supervision”
She stressed that the medication itself isn’t bad, but the real danger lies in using it without medical supervision. “Maybe if I had taken it with a doctor’s prescription, nothing would’ve happened. But I was walking blindly,” she explained.
Jamal admitted that this wasn’t the first time she made health-related decisions without consulting professionals, but said this particular experience prompted her to issue a clear warning to her followers—especially young women considering weight-loss injections due to their serious health risks.
Her message received wide interaction from followers, who praised her honesty and helpful advice aimed at protecting others.
